By default, Moodle will create 20 sections for your course. If you need more or less than 20 sections, follow the steps below:
1. In your Moodle course, click on Settings in the Contextual menu at the top of the Course page.
2. Under the Course Format heading, locate the prompt Number of Sections.
4. Change the number of sections from its default value. You can either increase or decrease the amount, as you see fit.
5. Click on the Save and display button at the bottom of the screen when done.
