Accessibility is a important issue in course design. It is crucial that all students can receive the same information in your course. There are a few specific changes that can be made to enhance the current level of accessibility. These include:
Text
- Use Heading Styles in Moodle Text Editor
- Use high-contrast color that does not (alone) convey meaning.
- Underlined text is reserved for hyperlinks only
- Use plain, not overly stylized fonts
- Use a 10-point or larger font
- Use descriptive names for hyperlinks
Tables
- Create Accessible Tables
- Avoid including tables as images
Files
Images
- Confirm that all images in the course have Alt Text
- The Alt Text should convey the same information as the image itself
- This includes images within documents and presentations (even from a publisher)
Videos
